“Jenni had very specific plans for how she wanted her funeral to go down. She wanted Vendela roses at the service, Bella Rosa roses to be buried with her, and she requested butterflies to be released at the end of the service. A public memorial will take place on Tuesday [Dec. 18] in Long Beach and a more private one on Wednesday [Dec. 19],” Jenni’s team told TMZ.
As far as celebrities who’ll attend the services, Snoop Dogg and Jenni were allegedly set to do a duet together before her untimely passing, Gloria Estefan was a longtime friend of Jenni’s and Edward James Olmos co-starred and produced her debut film, Filly Brown. They’re all likely to get an invite.
Other celebrities we can assume were invited to the private service on Wednesday Dec. 19 are Jennifer Lopez, Mario Lopez and Eva Longoria, who all showed their support through Twitter after Jenni’s death.
“My heart breaks for the loss of Jenni Rivera & everyone on the plane,” Eva tweeted. “My prayers go out to her family. We lost a legend today.”
J.Lo posted this message: “So sad!! Praying for Jenni Rivera’s children and family and the passengers families.”
Jenni and six others died on Sunday Dec. 9 when the Learjet they were flying on crashed shortly after takeoff in Mexico. Jenni was 43.
Our thoughts continue to go out to Jenni, her family and friends, as well as the others who were affected by this unfortunate situation.
How do YOU feel, HollywoodLifers?
